The Environment and Public Policy Section of ACR is committed to diversifying our community of practice, and to creating opportunities for professional development for individuals and organizations traditionally underrepresented in environmental conflict resolution and problem-solving circles.
As part of this commitment, we are raising funds to support DEIA scholarships for practitioners interested in attending the ACR Conference in Arlington, VA this coming October. These scholarships will take several forms based on need and funds raised:
Discounted registration rates
Complimentary registration, or
A limited number of full scholarships of $1,500 (to be used to cover registration, lodging, and travel).
Contribute to the DEIA Conference Scholarship Fund: If your organization or agency is interested in contributing funds to the Scholarship Fund, please complete the sponsorship form and select the EPP Diversity and Equity Conference Scholarship on page 5. Any contribution is welcome. The number of partial and full scholarships we are able to offer will be dependent on the amount raised.
If you are interested in attending the 2023 ACR Conference in October, are a member of an underrepresented group or are transitioning into our community of practice, and would be unable to attend without some financial support, please consider applying for one of the DEIA Conference Scholarships. The deadline for applications is July 22, and decisions will be made on or before August 10th.
